There's a new store here in New York called Comptoir des Cotonniers, a French sportswear company that sells duds for different generations, and has used real-life mother-daughter duos in their ad campaigns for the last 10 years. This weekend, they're holding an open casting call at their Soho store (155 Spring Street), which means you and your mother/daughter have a chance to appear in an international ad campaign: just show up in your Sunday best on October 26 between 3 and 7pm. I must admit, my mom is pretty damn chic (her costume jewelry drawer deserves a museum exhibit of its own), but I've found a few ladies who would give us a nice run for our money.
